This is a great place to get gas, but I would never drop my car off for service. I recently came to have the headlight bulb on my driver’s side switched out. This is a 2-3 minute job at most that requires no tools. It is literally replacing a light bulb. I could have gotten the bulb and replaced it myself, but I was in a pinch one weekend and, since Road Ready is around the block from me, I was more than willing to pay the markup for the convenience of having the job done. That is, until the owner (I assume he is the proprietor) told me the job would cost nearly $60. I immediately asked for my keys back. In fairness, he was at least polite about it. Out of anger, I took my car to another place just to see what an honest person would do the job for. Mavis on Hempstead Turnpike did it for $15 and it was done in 5 minutes. I wonder how much they charge when a car needs serious work. I will never know because I am never coming here again. Everyone else should do the same.
